Her presentation will be “Heavy Lifting: Transitioning to Value Based Care and the Impact of MACRA on Primary Care Professionals”.

Description: The acceleration towards value based care and the recent Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) of 2015 present specific challenges to small, rural primary care providers and large health systems alike. This presentation is designed to provide a glimpse into the regulatory framework behind MACRA that will take effect in 2017. The rule will be analyzed and the necessary steps practices need to take in order to prepare for the distinct reporting mandated by MACRA. The value based purchasing provisions in the Medicaid Managed Care rule and other MCO contracts will also be discussed.
