ICD-10-2Implementation of ICD-10 is a few weeks away. Therefore, the time for in-depth training and education has come.

Kentucky REC in partnership with the Kentucky Primary Care Association (KPCA) is now offering a training webinar designed to teach physicians how to properly use the ICD-10 coding system. This training will put healthcare organizations on the path to documentation that facilitates proper ICD-10 code assignment.

This 1 hour 45 minute webinar is on-demand and available anytime. The cost of the module is $79, and physicians will receive 1.75 Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits. Please note: there is no cost to KPCA members to view the training.

1. Describe the relationship between documentation in the health record and ICD-10-CM coding assignment
2. Identify strategies to improve clinical documentation needed in the assignment of ICD-10-CM codes
3. Identify steps that need to be taken that will facilitate accurate assignment of ICD-10-CM codes
