Join Kentucky REC’s HIPAA Team Lead Amy Daley and Guest Presenters Colin Glover and Ryan Lewis from CISA in this interactive presentation as they lead us through a tabletop exercise based on vetted cybersecurity scenarios. Everyone is encouraged to participate!

Attendees are encouraged to bring copies of their current incident response plans and/or policies to review during the exercise.

The HIPAA Security Rule requires covered entities and business associates to not only have security incident response plans in place, but these plans should be tested periodically. One of the biggest vulnerabilities discovered during annual risk assessments has been the lack of detailed incident response plans and no testing conducted. Tabletop exercises have proven to be one of the most efficient ways for an organization to test and build thorough incident response plans.
